Diagnostic Radiology and Imaging Services

RadNet is the California market leader in providing high-quality, cost-effective diagnostic imaging services through a statewide network of freestanding, outpatient imaging centers. The Company provides the necessary equipment, space, and non-physician personnel for the operations, as well as financial and administrative management services. The network consists of 55 centers, many of which are full-service, multi-modality facilities. The facilities offer a friendly, patient-oriented environment focused on customer service, earning RadNet outstanding marks from patient satisfaction surveys.

The professional services are performed by board-certified radiologists who have conformed to the strict requirements of the Quality Assurance, Quality Improvement, and Peer Review Programs of RadNet. The most significant of the radiology groups that provide professional services is Beverly Radiology Medical Group (BRMG).

RadNet Services include MRI, CT, PET, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, Fluoroscopy and Diagnostic Radiology (X-Ray). Several of the centers offer Bone Densitometry and Nuclear Cardiology and invasive procedures, such as biopsies.

Our centers provide standardized services, regardless of location, to ensure patients, physicians and payers consistency in service and quality. The key features of these services include:

  • A 24-hour turnaround on routine examinations;
  • Stat interpretations, as needed;
  • Flexible patient scheduling including same-day appointments;
  • Reports delivered via courier or fax;
  • Availability of second opinions and consultations;
  • Availability of sub-specialty interpretations at no additional charge;
  • Standardized fee schedules by region; and
  • Fees that are significantly less than hospital fees.

The level of service is monitored through the Continuous Quality Improvement Program (CQI). The CQI Program ensures that patients have a positive experience, patients receive services in a timely manner, physicians receive results in a timely manner and there is superior technical quality for the examinations. RadNet utilizes state-of-the-art equipment that is continually maintained and periodically upgraded to meet State and Federal requirements. The Company's philosophy of providing quality imaging and outstanding customer service is built upon a commitment to utilize the most up-to-date hardware and software technologies. For example, RadNet utilizes helical technology for CT scanning and digital technologies for radiography, fluoroscopy and ultrasound. Notably, RadNet is one of the few providers offering digital technology for mammography. New imaging sequences and coils continue to advance MRI applications. RadNet has strategically placed Open MRI scanners to allow for increased patient access to this technology.

Utilization Management Services

The Company has developed a comprehensive Utilization Management (UM) program that provides significant cost containment opportunities for payers, while promoting a high standard of care for patients. The UM department consists of administrative, nursing, and medical staff who are actively involved with the referring physicians and payer management in both prospective and retrospective review programs. Teleradiology Services

In addition to the internal company-wide use of teleradiology for most imaging modalities, RadNet provides teleradiology services for imaging facilities and physician groups seeking sub-specialty expertise in the interpretation and consultation of advanced musculoskeletal and neuroradiologic imaging procedures, such as MRI. The professional medical staff affiliated with RadNet includes many with sub-specialty expertise. Many of these radiologists have earned significant international recognition through their contributions and academic achievements. Teleradiology stations have been installed throughout RadNet, providing easy access to expert interpretations and consultations for any entity interested in improving quality of care and patient convenience for their imaging studies.
