64-Slice PET/CT Now Available at Elite Advanced Imaging

We are happy to announce the only 64-Slice PET/CT available in the Victor Valley area! This advanced imaging procedure is now offered at our Elite Advanced Imaging to all patients in the area. 64-Slice PET/CT offers quicker scan times, 2D and 3D processing, and thin image slices to give our radiologists a clearer image in a shorter amount of time. This scan also has the benefit of having a larger bore, which may help claustrophobic patients and larger patients.

64-Slice PET/CT can be used for a Coronary Calcium Screening exam, smoker screening scans, and CT Angiography. Radiologists use it to look at the aortic root and ascending aorta, thoracic and abdominal aorta, pulmonary embolisms and the lower extremities.
