IOC is committed to providing the highest quality patient care. Through our high quality teleradiology standards program, our radiologists maintain an overall QA average of less than 0.20%.

Teleradiology companies provide a wide range of services to thousands of hospitals and practice groups across the country and internationally. Yet, there are no teleradiology standards currently in place to monitor the quality of these groups. The services provided by each teleradiology company vary greatly–as well as the quality of reports.

The IOC Difference

IOC distinguishes itself through an ironclad commitment to quality. Our QA rating system was modeled after the well-respected ACR. Through our high quality teleradiology standards program, our radiologists maintain an overall QA average of less than 0.20%.

  • Radiologists

Prior to an offer to join IOC, every applicant is tested by our Chief Radiologist. All radiologists are continuously monitored, and any issues are addressed proactively.

  • Reports and Statistics

Our QA Department sends quarterly reports detailing the number and types of discrepancies, as well as percentages, so our performance can be tracked over time. Reports are available in print or electronic format.

  • Follow Up

All reported discrepancies are fully investigated by our QA team, and we follow up with our customers about every one, no matter how small.

Teleradiology Standards Program for Prelilminary and Final Reads

There is a 100% peer review process for preliminary reports. Every study is read twice by two independent radiologists: once by IOC at night, and once by the hospital radiologist the next morning. If the hospital radiologist finds a discrepancy, the study is sent to a second IOC radiologist for review. If a discrepancy still exists, the study is sent to a highly qualified, third-party radiologist who issues the final decision.

For final reads, a random 2% of each month’s reports are over-read by a select group of IOC radiologists.

We take quality seriously. Imaging On Call teleradiology standards are designed to maintain the highest quality care for your patients. Our reports can be easily incorporated into any hospital QA program and we encourage feedback from all customers on how to improve the teleradiology standards program.
