Dr. John Gundzik joined Kern Radiology in 1993. Dr. Gundzik received his Bachelors of Science degree in Medical Microbiology from Stanford University in 1982. He later graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1986, receiving his medical degree. He completed both his Residency in Diagnostic Radiology in 1991, and his first year of Neuroradiology Fellowship in 1992 at Baylor College of Medicine. He then completed his Fellowship in Neuroradiology at the University of New Mexico in 1993. Certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1991 and Added Qualifications in Neuroradiology in 1995, Dr. Gundzik specializes in Diagnostic Radiology and Neuroradiology. Dr. Gundzik also serves as the Medical Director and Vice President for the group.

Dr. Gundzik and his wife enjoy snow skiing, golf, wine tasting, and traveling. Both have been active in the Bakersfield Community Theater. Dr. Gundzik will occasionally entertain friends and colleagues by playing guitar and singing.
