OUR RADIOLOGISTS

I attended medical school at NYU and remained to complete my residency and fellowship in Pediatric Radiology. After ten years of academics, teaching, engaging in research and publishing multiple scholarly articles, I decided that I would transition to full time patient care. Initially starting a full service radiology practice, Murray Hill Radiology and Mammography, (a very unusual event at the time), I quickly narrowed my focus and energy on mammography.  I am happy to announce that I’m now also part of the Medical Imaging of Manhattan team.

It has been the custom in clinical radiology since the mid-80’s to have women come for a study and then be called back for additional films. At MHR and Medical Imaging of Manhattan, we decided that complete care to the level possible would be done during the initial visit to speed diagnosis and allay patient anxiety. So we have mammography, ultrasonography and needle aspirations of suspected abnormalities performed at once.

Working with a team of excellent doctors, techs and staff makes the day fly by. Seeing many patients whom I have followed over the years, some currently healthy but diagnosed years ago with breast cancer, is particularly pleasing.

My professional life has been very rewarding and in addition to the satisfaction gained from patient care I have been elected a fellow in the Society of Breast Imaging and have been honored with the Israel Cancer Society’s Tower of Hope award and by Judges and Lawyers against Breast Cancer and League of Women Voters.

My spare time is spent with my husband, two grown children their spouses and four darling grandchildren, whom I adore.
