September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

Did you know that one in six men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer?

It’s the second most common cancer in men, after skin cancer. Screening helps us find and treat prostate cancer early, giving you more treatment options with potentially fewer side effects. And possibly a longer life.

Prostate Cancer Awareness Month was created to heighten the awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of disease among men. This special awareness month gives health care providers, public policy makers, the media, and individuals an opportunity to encourage men to seek regular medical advice and early treatment for disease and injury.
