A graduate of New York Medical College, Dr. Urdaneta went on to complete his Radiology residency at the University of Southern California where he served as chief resident. He then went on to pursue fellowship training in Thoracic Radiology at the University of California Los Angeles where he received the inaugural John R. Benston Award for Clinical Excellence.
As a resident and fellow, Dr. Urdaneta was actively involved in resident and medical student education and was an active participant in several multidisciplinary conferences. During his residency and later as a fellow he continued to cultivate and expand his interest in cardiothoracic radiology, gaining knowledge and expertise in advanced multimodality oncologic and cardiovascular imaging, novel intravenous contrast agents in particular Ferumoxitol, and multiplanar/3D rendering of both conventional and complex anomalous anatomy.
Dr. Urdaneta is looking forward to contributing his expertise to the Rolling Oaks team and the communities of the Ventura County area.
