Barry Berkowitz, M.D., has been a diplomat of the American Board of Radiology since 1985 and is also a senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology. Born in New York, he attended Purdue University undergraduate program and graduated from Downstate, S.U.N.Y. Medical School in 1980. His postgraduate training began with an internal medicine internship and a subsequent radiology residency program at L.I.J.-North Shore University Hospital in New Hyde Park, New York. His training continued with a two-year fellowship program in neuroradiology and MRI, where he was a Senior Clinical Attending Neuroradiologist at Queens Hospital in New York.

Dr. Berkowitz relocated to Southern California in 1986 to begin his MRI services at St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Burbank. He continued his clinical practice in Neuroradiology and MRI for 16 years at Los Robles Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, California and Conejo Magnetic Resonance Imaging Center, before joining Pacific Advanced Radiology in June 2004.

With 25+ years experience in Neuroradiology , MRI, CT, CTA and MRA he helps the Pacific Advanced Radiology Group provide the highest level of subspecialty radiology. Dr. Berkowitz has practiced both in the inpatient and outpatient settings and has extensive experience as well in abdominal CT, MRI imaging, ultrasound, and general radiography.
