Dr. Vashita Dhir is a graduate of Brown University, earning a BA in Human Biology, Summa Cum Laude. She received her MD from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York.
She then returned to her native California to complete an Internship in Internal Medicine at White Memorial Medical Center, followed by a Diagnostic Radiology Residency at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. She went on to do a fellowship in Women’s Imaging at UC Irvine with Dr. Stephen Feig.
Since completion of training, Dr. Dhir has worked extensively in clinical practice in the field of breast imaging, in Los Angeles and in the Bay area. She has a particular interest in women’s health and the technological advancement of breast cancer detection, and has co-authored papers in the field of 3D breast ultrasound imaging. She also consults with local technology companies in the Silicon Valley, hoping to utilize advancements in technology to improve the detection of breast cancer.
Her interests include hiking, yoga and spending time with family and friends.
