Megan M. Zare, MD

Dr. Megan Zare is a fellowship-trained radiologist specializing in Body Imaging and Thoracic Radiology, as well as Pediatric Imaging and PET/CT. She earned her medical degree from the Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran and completed two residency programs, one in Diagnostic Radiology at the Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and the second one in Nuclear Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.

Dr. Zare has extensive fellowship training, beginning with CT Imaging, which she obtained in Tehran, Iran at Sahid Beheshti University. She went on from there to the University of Washington in Seattle, where she completed an additional two fellowship training programs, one in PET/CT, where she was also an acting instructor, and another in Pediatric Radiology. She completed yet a fourth fellowship training in Body and Thoracic Radiology at UCLA in Los Angeles, CA.

Dr. Zare has authored multiple research publications and has presented her work at many international conferences. She is an active member of several professional societies and has held leadership roles throughout her professional career. Dr. Zare is board certified in both Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.

Dr. Zare is fluent in her native Persian and in her spare time, she is a talented artist whose paintings have been exhibited in art shows. She also enjoys playing piano, poetry and yoga.
