Vijendra Rao, M.D.

Vijendra Rao, M.D., is a radiologist certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine specializing in cardiovascular radiology and nuclear medicine. Dr. Rao has extensive sub-specialty training, having completed a cardiovascular imaging fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center in Stanford, CA and a nuclear oncology fellowship with focus on PET/CT at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

Dr. Rao received a medical degree from Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India prior to completing residency at University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. In addition to his clinical experience and medical training, Dr. Rao possesses teaching experience at the Stanford University Medical Center, University of Tennessee Medical Center, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Northport VA Medical Center in Northport, NY.

Dr. Rao is a current member of the Society of Nuclear Medicine. In his spare time, Dr. Rao enjoys hiking, biking, tennis, technology and travel.
