On average, every two minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States*

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women (with the exception of skin cancers). In 2021, it is estimated that approximately 30% of women diagnosed with cancer will be breast cancer, and 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.*

Mammography is a type of low-dose x-ray that reveals masses and microcalcifications within and around the breast, which may indicate breast problems including cancer and other diseases. We offer 3D mammography, that latest in mammography technology, which creates multiple, thin 3D image slices that allow each section of the breast tissue to be seen more clearly. Some studies show that 3D mammography improves breast cancer detection rates and reduces the need for additional imaging.

Early detection is the best protection against breast cancer

Experts recommend an annual screening mammogram to increase the chance of early breast cancer detection and treatment. When breast cancer is diagnosed in its earliest stages, there is a 99% survival rate within the first five years.*

You can schedule your annual screening mammogram up to one year in advanced starting at age 40 (or at age 30 if you are considered high-risk for breast cancer).

Do not put off until tomorrow what matters today

Unfortunately, breast cancer does not take a break during a pandemic, and neither should you. Please do not unnecessarily delay your breast health needs during this time – take action today.
