Not Yet?

You may still have time to maximize your benefits and get the imaging you need.

Coverage and benefits vary by insurance plan. Check with your insurance provider to confirm your deductible and coverage.

Schedule Your Radiology Exam Before Your Benefits Reset

As the end of the year approaches, now is a good time to make the most of your health insurance benefits at Borg and Ide Imaging. Many Rochester-area residents have already met their health insurance deductible, which means out-of-pocket costs for diagnostic imaging or preventative health screenings could be reduced, depending on your plan.

Take advantage of your current coverage by scheduling an MRI, PET/CT, CT scan, mammogram, ultrasound, DEXA scan or X-ray at a Borg and Ide Imaging location near you.

What Is a Health Insurance Deductible?

A health insurance deductible is the amount you pay out of pocket for medical expenses before your insurance begins to cover costs.

For example, if your deductible is $2,000, you will pay for eligible medical services until you reach that amount. Once your deductible is met, your plan typically begins sharing the cost of covered services, which may include radiology exams such as MRI, PET/CT, CT scans, mammograms and ultrasounds performed at Borg and Ide Imaging.

If you are unsure if you have met your deductible, contact your health insurance company for information on your deductible status.

Don't Wait Until December

Schedule your exam at least 2 weeks before the end of the year.

January 1 is when many calendar-year deductibles reset. After a reset, you are responsible for payment until you meet your deductible again.

Appointment availability, insurance requirements and other scheduling considerations can affect timing, so allow enough time to complete your exam. Deductible timing varies by plan. Check with your insurance provider to confirm yours.

Frequently Asked Questions About Health Insurance Deductibles

Find answers to common questions about health insurance deductibles and using your benefits for imaging exams at Borg and Ide Imaging.

*The following may vary by insurance provider.

After meeting your deductible, you typically pay only a copay or coinsurance for covered services. For example, with 80/20 coinsurance, you pay 20% and your plan covers 80%.

Many insurance deductibles reset on January 1st. After that, you will need to meet your deductible again before your insurance plan starts covering medical expenses.

A reset means you pay out-of-pocket again. If you have met your deductible, scheduling appointments before the reset may help you save on healthcare costs.

High-deductible plans have lower premiums, while low-deductible plans have higher premiums. Make your choice based on your healthcare needs and budget.

Schedule your radiology exams before your deductible resets to make the most of your benefits. Choose Borg and Ide Imaging as an affordable option.

If your deductible resets on a different date, plan your imaging exams around that schedule to make the most of your benefits.
