Julio E. Garcia, MD is board certified in Internal Medicine, Nuclear Medicine, and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Garcia earned his degree from the USA accredited University of Puerto Rico, School of Medicine (1971-1975). He spent three years in Worcester, Massachusetts (1975-1978) where he completed an internal medicine residency at the Medical Center of Central Massachusetts. From 1978 to 1981 Dr. Garcia served in the U.S. Air Force in the Internal Medicine Service of Malcolm Grow Medical Center at Andrews Air Force Base. In 1981 he transferred to the U.S. Army and completed his Nuclear Medicine Fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C. From 1983 to 1985 he was the Chief of Nuclear Medicine and Radiology at Reynolds Army Hospital, Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Dr. Garcia returned to Walter Reed Medical Center once again where he completed his Active Duty service in 1987.
