Michael Kistler, MD is certified in Nuclear Medicine and Internal Medicine. He graduated from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in 1982. He completed an Internal Medicine residency at Naval Hospital San Diego in 1987 and a Fellowship in Nuclear Medicine at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda in 1989. He remained at Bethesda for three years as a staff Nuclear Medicine physician, with an academic appointment at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
Between 1992 and 2002 Dr. Kistler was medical director, Department of Nuclear Medicine, at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI and assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse. He helped inaugurate PET imaging at that facility during his tenure and took an active part in graduate medical education.
