The Good Faith Estimate (GFE) is a required notification sent by healthcare providers to uninsured and self-pay patients that outlines reasonably expected charges for a medical item or service, such as an imaging study. The GFE is based on information known at the time of scheduling. Uninsured and self-pay patients will automatically receive a GFE via text or email when they schedule an appointment at our center. Uninsured and self-pay patients may also request a GFE prior to scheduling. Click this button for more detailed information on GFE.

How do I pay my Community Radiology bill?
Whose responsibility is it to get pre-authorization for an imaging exam?
Please keep in mind that it is the patient and referring physician’s responsibility to confirm pre-authorization requirements and obtain the approval that is required for the exam.
We will contact you two business days before your appointment date to reschedule if your insurance carrier has not yet issued the required authorization.
If we have not received the pre-authorization number, please contact your insurance company and/or your referring physician’s office and then provide it to us.
What does “Pending Authorization” mean for my exam?
There are several reasons why your exam may be pending authorization. First, it should not be assumed that authorization was denied, only that more time and/or information is needed to complete the process. Oftentimes, your chart notes from your doctor must be obtained and sent to the insurance company for review. The staff at Community Radiology will ensure that is accomplished so you don’t have to.
