Quick fact: Prostate cancer affects 1 in 9 men.

Prostate MRI is a non-invasive imaging exam that uses a strong magnetic field to generate detailed images of the structures within a man’s prostate gland to assist the radiologist in evaluating for the presence of prostate cancer.

Are you a candidate?

  • Elevated PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen).

  • Staging of known cancer.

  • Planning and monitoring therapy.

  • Planning for both open and minimally invasive surgery.

  • Presently on active surveillance, possibly forgoing the need for additional biopsies.

Lung cancer screening is an annual painless CT screening tool that uses low doses of radiation to make detailed images of your lungs to evaluate for the presence of lung cancer.

Are you a candidate?

The U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and other private insurances approved LDCT screening for asymptomatic patients meeting the following criteria:

  • Are 50 to 80 years old.

  • Have a smoking history of at least 20 pack years (one pack per day for 20 years, 2 packs per day for 10 years, etc.).

  • Are either current smokers or have quit within the last 15 years.

  • No signs or symptoms of lung cancer.

An Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Scan (AAA) screening exam is a painless, non-invasive ultrasound of your abdominal aorta. It is performed to determine whether an abdominal aortic aneurysm is present.

Are you a candidate?

  • Between the age of 65-75

  • High blood pressure

  • Family history of aneurysm

  • History of smoking

Ultrasound imaging of the scrotum is a non-invasive exam that uses sound waves to help evaluate disorders of the testicles.

  • Mass (lumps or tumors)

  • Testicular pain, swelling

  • Undescended testis

A CT cardiac calcium score is a simple non-invasive scan that only takes a few minutes and can detect calcium atherosclerotic plaque deposits in the arteries of the heart.

  • Men between the ages of 40 and 70

  • Smoking history

  • Sedentary lifestyle

  • Diabetes

  • High blood pressure

  • Overweight or obese

  • Family history of coronary heart disease

  • High cholesterol/Atherosclerosis

Virtual colonoscopy is a minimally invasive CT exam of your abdomen and pelvis used to determine the presence of polyps and other abnormalities inside the colon and rectum.

Are you a candidate?

  • Men and women 50 years of age or older at average risk of colon cancer.

  • Anyone reluctant to have colonoscopy.

  • Men and women at risk of colonoscopy complications, such as excess bleeding because your blood does not clot normally.

Quick fact: Up to 1 in 4 men over the age of 50 will break a bone due to osteoporosis.

DEXA is an imaging test that measure bone density (strength)

Are you a candidate?

  • Men over the age of 50.

  • Family history of osteoporosis.

  • Previous fractures.

  • Chronic diseases that affect the kidneys, lungs, stomach, and intestines.

  • Low levels of testosterone.

  • Medications.
